Legal & privacy
What this site records, and what we do with what you send us.
Four things are covered here: the site itself, the request form, a job application, and the privacy notice. None of them takes long to read. If what you need is not on this page, ask the person at CCI you deal with.
The site itself
This site sets no cookies and uses no third-party analytics.
- No cookie is set anywhere on this site, and no analytics service is loaded on any page.
- The pages load only files that sit on the site itself: the stylesheet, the local scripts, and the images you see. Nothing is drawn from an advertising, tracking or social-media service.
- There is no login, no account and no mailing list. The only place the site asks you for anything is the request form, which is the next section.
- Nothing about your visit is recorded, so there is nothing for us to sell, share, or hand to anyone.
The request form
What you put in the request form is used to price the job and to answer you.
The form asks for what an inspection quotation depends on: the goods, the destination country, the number of containers, the loading window, the place, and how to reach you. Its purpose is written on the form, and you are asked to agree to it before the form can be used: that we use the information to prepare a quotation and to contact you about that request.
The form assembles its text inside your own browser and hands it to your own mail program. Nothing leaves your machine until you send it, and the form keeps no copy of its own.
Job applications
Applications are not kept on file unless you ask.
We read everything that arrives. We reply when there is something to say, and we do not keep your details on file unless you ask us to.
What we ask you to send is set out on the Careers page: the role, where you are, what you have done, something you wrote, and the languages you read and write. If the material names a client, redact it before you send it.
The record of a job
A record goes to the party who commissioned it.
A record goes to the principal who commissioned the inspection. The party buying from the factory does not receive it. The principal may pass it on: to its own bank, or to its own customer. We do not send it on their behalf.
Privacy notice
Who holds it, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed.
The controller
The controller of the information you send us is China Chita Inspection Co., Ltd., Suite 1004, Chenggong Mansion, #72 Luxun RD., Zhongshan District, Dalian, China. Write to admin@cci-china.cc.
What this site collects
Nothing is collected while you read. This site sets no cookie and loads no analytics, and the pages load only files that sit on the site itself. The request form assembles its text inside your own browser and hands it to your own mail program, and keeps no copy of its own. The point at which your information reaches us is the moment you send that email from your own mail program.
How long we keep it
What arrives is kept as the file of that commission: it is used for the job it came with, and for reconciling later jobs for the same principal. The file is kept for five years and then deleted; you may ask us to delete it earlier at any time.
How to have it withdrawn
Write to admin@cci-china.cc and say what you want deleted; we delete it on that written request. What this covers is your own contact details and the correspondence around them. What it does not cover is an inspection record already issued: a report records what was on site on a given day, and the original record of an inspection is added to, not rewritten.
If something here is unclear, ask.
